Manuel is studying the cardiac mechanics in numerous cardiovascular diseases. He has previously researched how to use machine learning to model cardiac anatomy and function using imaging data, designed automated workflows to characterize the cardiac mechanics, and developed algorithms for disease classification using features of mechanical dysfunction.  Outside of lab Manuel enjoys hiking and being a history buff.
